"Kakahuyan ang tinaga kang kalibutan" is a rough Hiligaynon translation of "The Word for World is Forest," the title of a science fiction novel by Ursula K. Le Guin published in 1972. At once a critique of imperialist extraction and a meditation on ecological loss and recovery, this story is told through the lives of green creatures on a proxy-Earth farmed for trees and commodities.

This gathering is an attempt to surface tensions in our current climate narratives and rewrite them where possible. A narrative rewriting workshop, GLF Climate panel watch party, dialogue, and listening circle took place, gathering activists, artists and researchers from Panay Island.

We owe each other endurance. We owe each other everything.
